New automated solution for flexible molecular assays

is a new flexible automated platform for molecular testing. The integrated system incorporates all workflow steps needed to go from a raw sample to detection. The system is presented by Qiagen at the Scanlab+Biotech Forum fair and offers many features to create increased flexibility. Among these are continuous loading, random access, a broad menu of preprogrammed assays and an ability to process almost any sample type. Qiasymphony has been developed with a special attention to laboratories focusing on the emerging field of molecular diagnostics. The platform is built from modules that can be used as stand-alone systems or can be combined into a fully integrated system.
